We want your children to feel just as loved and connected at Church on the Rock as mom and dad do. With children's ministry groups ranging from newborn to Grade 5, our children's director and volunteers aim to reach children for Christ and see transformation in their lives through fun, age-appropriate, creative, safe, and Bible-based activities. At Church on the Rock we're passionate about raising children to know Jesus in a way that is both fun and educational, equipping both children and parents with the tools they need.
We ensure your children are safe when they're in our hands: all of our volunteers have undergone an application process, including background checks. Our children's ministry team loves children, loves Jesus, and can't wait to meet you! For more information, visit us on Sunday mornings or contact our Children's Director Nancy Jongeling .
We are excited to be able to offer your children (newborn-Grade 5) an amazing children's ministry experience throughout the year during our First & Combined Services (see Home page for times/dates).
Sunday mornings find us in the Nursery for quality care of your wee ones: our volunteers are ready to welcome your children with open arms and give them a safe place to play, explore, and have fun, while you enjoy the worship service distraction-free.
Drop off your little ones during the service on Sunday mornings and give them a fun place to learn about Jesus, play, and meet new friends. Our volunteers provide a safe place for your children to learn and grow within a church environment, giving you a chance to enjoy the worship service worry-free.
We welcome your children, grades 1-5, to Kid's Rock during the service on Sunday mornings: providing fun, Bible-based games, songs, and lessons, your children will learn and grow within the church environment, and prepare short memorizations and skits they'll be excited to tell you about on the way home.
Join us on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month (September through May) at the Church on the Rock Building (Upper James) from 6:30-8:00 p.m. We do a community bus pick-up each week, and so your children will join others from the community for crafts, games, and Bible stories to continue to grow within the church and to grasp an understanding of the importance of church community.
Due to planned construction on our property this year, Church on the Rock will not be hosting Kids Summer Camp. We're excited to work towards having an expanded space at the building to host kids programs.
